About Me

I've been working in agencies since graduating nearly 40 years ago (eek!). Over the last twenty years or more, I have run international agencies and held Board Level positions with responsibility for sales, marketing, and global partnerships for two highly successful international agencies – Text 100 and Hotwire. 

During that time, I have also worked with a host of clients including IBM, ARM, Xerox, McAfee, BlackBerry, NetApp, and Zoom helping them to build and manage international agency networks and to run global campaigns.  

Most recently as Chief Development Officer for Hotwire, the multi-award-winning global technology communications consultancy, I was responsible for driving top line revenue growth as well as being Corporate Sponsor for several of the firm’s largest global accounts. 

During my tenure with Hotwire, I had responsibility for all group sales, marketing, and global partnerships. In the period 2008 to 2021, Hotwire grew from a £6m European PR agency to a £35m global communications consultancy culminating in 2021 with the recognition as both the World and EMEA’s leading Technology Agency by PRovoke.   

Other notable achievements include the growth of Hotwire’s reputation and position in the global PR community, the design and implementation of a worldwide Salesforce deployment that now lies at the heart of Hotwire’s financial operating model, the management of Hotwire’s global Partnership network including the negotiation of an exclusive Asia wide partnership with the Hoffman Agency, and the construction and subsequent leadership of a 20-agency global network for Zoom through 2020/21.   

Prior to Hotwire, I spent two-years launching and growing Friction.tv, a first-generation video debating website. This concept gained initial traction, attracting over £1m in seed funding but sadly ran out of steam as a victim of the global financial crisis in 2008. 

I served as Non-Executive Director of Marches Care Limited until its acquisition by Bondcare in October 2021; as a Director of AMEC (the Association for Measurement and Evaluation in Communication) until December 2021 and I as Chair of the CIPR’s Greater London Group through to December 2024.

 I’m married to Emma who is a highly qualified nurse and have two almost grown-up sons. I live just outside beautiful Henley-on-Thames and am a passionate rugby supporter, cyclist, dog lover and outdoor person.
